Herbs and Their Uses

By: HAR StormyMoon

For Protection:

Angelica - One of the best of all protective measures against negative energies is to have angelica sprinkled in all corners of your home. Not only preserve one from the power of witches and spells, but those who possess a piece of this are protected from infection, poisons, mad dogs, and venomous beasts when one is carrying it. It may seem a bit extreme but if you have faith in these type of things this can benefit you to protect your self.

Anise Seed - A few of these in your mojo bag serve to avert the Evil Eye.

Ash Tree Leaves - Place some in your vehicle - car, boat bicycle, wagon - and it will never suffer an accident or cause injury to its passengers. To protect oneself from vampires, carry a crucifix made of ash tree limbs.

Balm Gilead Buds - This is one of my most favorite of herbs it has a sweet smell but is sticky, Every mojo bag should carry a pair of these as a protection from evil eye as well as other curses or hexes.

Basil - The Hindus consider this a holy herb and believe that placing a bit in each room of the home brings a certain protection for the family. For protection when you are in a crowd of people, particularly if there are those there you do not trust, rub some powdered basil on your forehead.

Bay Leaves - A home which has a bay leaf in each corner of every room is fully protected from ghosts, poltergeists , and hexcraft. A person who carries one in the purse or pocket needs to have no fear of either illness or demons.

Chamomile - Wreaths of chamomile hung up in a house will defend it against being struck by lightning. Chamomile is also used in tea's to calm the nerves, to help one sleep, and to help sooth an upset stomach.

This information is provided to you by the book Of Modern Herbal Spell Book, by Anna Riva. You can find this book on Amazon.com, & indioproducts.com

Herbs can be a very good way to enhance balance in your life, this helps you also get more involved in the environment of our lands, we need plants to survive, we need to get back some of the old ways of living, protecting and realizing that everything we put out does come back, but there are times when one has done nothing wrong and others force misfortune on another and we must protect our selves from such people. Some people may not believe in this way of life and that is quite alright to each their own and I mean no harm by any of this it is just something I strongly believe in. When Baby Jesus was born they brought him herbs, herbs which possess protection abilities, and abilities to cure.

Frankincense - to protect ones self from nightmares, bad dreams, or fear of the darkness. Frankincense is also used to cleans items of negative energy, such as tools, or a room you may sit in. Frankincense has also been used for protection from evil spirits, and negative energy on ones self.

Myrrh - A sacred herb mentioned in the Bible and used in many blessed oils and ointments. Its powers are the same as that of frankincense, and often the two are mixed for greater strength.

Another great Herb is:

Sage - Sage is another great herb, grown by mostly Native Americans. This is used to purify, cleans and remove any negative energies and or spirits from a certain area, some people also use this to clean them self , their Aura from negative energy. Sage is great to use during mediations as well. Sage can also help bring clarity to ones thoughts.

Herbs can be used in many ways, crushed and mixed with essential oils to dress a candle, when I say dress what I mean is the candle is either rolled into the herb mixed in the oil, or it is rubbed on to assure that you touch all areas of the candle, this empowers it giving it more strength.

Herbs can be used in teas, but you must really be careful of what you add because some herbs can be quite dangerous and cause one to become very ill and even cause death.

Fresh herbs are better to use and have much more strength than those that have sat on the shelf for long periods of time. You can obtain fresh herbs from a local Botanica not to be confused with a Botanical, or even grow them inside or outside your home. You can also find Herbs on line just look them up and you will find many place to purchase such herbs. Botanica's are stores that carry items from oils to candles to stones, they are most known among the Mexican/Latino and African Communities as they are often to poor to consult a real Dr. As I stated, these things are not to be used to replace the advice of a DR. and you should take care and ask your DR. what he/she thinks of these items before using them if your to use them for medical reasons.

In California, these stores are very common as well as in Texas and other southern States.

Herbs do more than protect, there are some herbs you can use in your tea to promote relaxation, calming, sleepiness, relief from headaches, and even relief from stomach pains and much more. These things do not replace the advice of a DR. You must always consult a Dr first before using any of these remedies. This information is not meant in any ways to replace the advice of your Dr.
