Happy February to Everyone!!
I hope everyone's year has started off on the right foot. As I mentioned last month, I feel this year is going to be a wonderful year for most of us. It's a year of miracles, so put your intentions to the Universe and watch as they manifest.
Speaking of manifesting, we have a few shows on the subject lined up on our BlogTalk Radio program in the coming months. "Personal & Spiritual Development" on February 7th and "Manifestations of Intentions" on March 14th are both about development and putting your intentions out to the Universe. Each has their own unique techniques of attaining what you want in life.
Also this month on BlogTalk Radio, being the "Month of Love," Rae will do a presentation on Valentine's Day. The segment is called, "An International Valentine: Observance and Spiritual Aspects from Around the World." Rae will talk about St. Valentine, the origins of Valentine's Day, and how countries around the world celebrate. She is also offering a couple of meditations on the show. This segment will air on February 14th.
Something new that HAR is trying on the radio show this month is the "Spiritual Roundtable: Open Forum . What makes this Roundtable different is that we're going to have our phone lines open, as well as taking questions from the chat rooms, for the entire two hours. We're hoping you all will enjoy this new format.
I am pleased to announce a special guest and long time HAR friend, Peter Ferraro will be joining us on our radio show. You may remember Peter from past shows as the one done with the members of Long Island Paranormal Investigations, of which he is a member. Peter will be joining our Roundtable show on February 21st and on our February 28th show, "An Interview with Peter Ferraro"
I'd like to take a minute now to welcome to our Family HAH Bridget and HAR Mark.
Bridget joins our family as Host for our Chat Rooms. Bridget has been visiting our rooms for about a year now and decided that she wants to be part of our family. Welcome to you, Bridget. We're glad to have you with us.
Mark is an Intuitive who uses Runes and the Tarot in combination with his Intuitiveness, a unique combination that works very well for him. He was mentored by HAR Rae. Mark also has the gift of creating mystical foods. Mark will be featured in our "Meet HAR: HAR Mark" BlogTalk Radio show on March 21st.
Now I'll let you in on a little secret ... Peter is in talks with me about joining HAR, as well as TLP (The Lighted Path Investigations). I'll keep you posted.
Some of you know that we're talking about eventually moving our radio show to television. Although there is nothing definite or finalized yet, I did want to mention that we are in the talk stages with two possible sources for doing this. Wish us luck.
The Lighted Path, is currently in the process of being updated, expanded and modified to be more user friendly. We are currently looking for volunteers, with html document. database and programing experience to work on the project. If you would like to help, please feel free to contact me at HARMysticAura@aol.com. Also, if you're interested in joining TLP, we could use your help. We need good, reliable Intuitives, with a variety of abilities, as well as those wishing to Host and take notes, do background work, etc., If you're interested, please contact me at the same e-mail address. HAR is hoping to have the Online Classes back up and running by Spring of this year. We had to postpone giving classes this past fall due to a few of our teachers needing to take a leave of absence at the same time. With this new year, we're working on bringing our original classes back, as well as bringing new classes to you.
Finally, I'm sure that everyone knows about the devastating earthquake experienced in Haiti on January 12, 2010. We at HAR have been sending our prayers to all the victims of that quake, as well as to those that have so generously volunteered their time there. It's going to take a very long time to rebuild that country and the people there will never be the same due to the tremendous loss of lives. I ask that all of you do what you can to help these people and please keep the people of Haiti in your nightly prayers

2010 is the Chinese year of the Tiger
As part of the world community we have all seen the devastation of Haiti. This disaster has hit our HAR family too. HAR Sylvia has family in Haiti. They have not been hear from since the quake struck. Sylvia's family who has ties to the Haitian community is directing those who wish to make donations to www BHM.org. Whiich is a misson group. We ask for your prayers for Sylvia and her family also.
We continue to look for up beat people who would like to join the HAR family. Current openings are for Chat Hosts, which we are desperate to find and experienced Readers. Unfortunately, we are still under staffed which means we can not open more weekly chats for our guests. We are also looking for those interested in doing research, teaching classes, an Asst. Newsletter editor and team members for the Lighted path. If you are at all interested in joining the HAR family please contact me at, HAHBastet@aol.com. I'd love to hear from you and discuss any questions you may have.

Bark: Tannins, mainly the a-, b-and g- hamamelitannins, with some condensed tannins such as d-gallocatechin, l-epigallocatechin and l-epicatechin
Miscellaneous; saponins, volatile oil, resin.
Remedies For:
Astringent, anti-inflammatory, tonic, antiphlogistic, sedative, styptic.Witch Hazel is the most applicable and easy to use astringent for common usage. Very valuable for stopping either internal or external bleeding. It is especially useful in the easing of hemorrhoids. Also used for the treatment of bruises and inflamed swellings, and varicose veins. Witch Hazel will control diarrhea and aid in the easing of dysentery.
Combinations : For the easing of hemorrhoids it will combine well with Pilewort.
Dosage: Infusion: Pour a cup of boiling water onto l teaspoonful of the dried leaves and let infuse for
10-15 minutes. This should be drunk three times a day. Ointment: Witch Hazel can be made into an excellent ointment. Tincture: take l-2 ml of the tincture three times a day.
Safety: No information available. Some herbs are known to react with your medication. Please consult your physician before starting on any herb.

Cupid & St. Valentine
In Roman mythology, Cupid (Latin cupido, meaning "desire") is the god of erotic love and beauty. He is also known by another one of his Latin names, Amor (cognate with Kama). He is the son of goddess Venus and god Mercury.In popular culture Cupid is frequently shown shooting his bow to inspire romantic love, often
as an icon of Valentine's Day.In the Roman version, Cupid was the son of Venus (goddess of love) and Mercury (messenger god). In the Greek version he was named Eros and seen as one of the primordial
gods (though other myths exist as well). Cupid was often depicted with wings, a bow, and a quiver of arrows.
The following story is almost identical in both cultures; the most familiar version is found in Lucius Apuleius's Metamorphoses. When Cupid's mother Venus became jealous of the princess Psyche, who was so beloved by her subjects that they forgot to worship Venus, she ordered Cupid to make Psyche fall in love with the vilest thing in the world. When Cupid saw Psyche, however, he was so overcome by her beauty that he fell in love with her himself .Following that, Cupid visited Psyche every night while she slept. Speaking to her so that she could not see him, he told her never to try to see him. Psyche, though, incited by her two older sisters who told her Cupid was a monster, tried to look at him and angered Cupid. When he left, she looked all over the known world for him until at last the leader of the gods, Jupiter, gave Psyche the gift of immortality so that she could be with him. Together they had a daughter, Voluptas, or Hedone, (meaning pleasure) and Psyche became a goddess. Her name "Psyche" means "soul."
The name "Valentine" does not occur in the earliest list of Roman martyrs, compiled by the Chronographer of 354. The feast of St. Valentine was first established in 496 by Pope Gelasius I, who included Valentine among those ".. whose names are justly reverenced among men, but whose acts are known only to God."
The Saint Valentine that appears in various martyrologies in connection with February 14 is described either as A priest in Rome A bishop of Interamna A martyr in the Roman province of Africa.
The first representation of Saint Valentine appeared in the Nuremberg Chronicle, (1493); alongside the woodcut portrait of Valentine the text states that he was a Roman priest martyred during the reign of Claudius II, known as Claudius Gothicus. He was arrested and imprisoned upon being caught marrying Christian couples and otherwise aiding Christians who were at the time being persecuted by Claudius in Rome. Helping Christians at this time was considered a crime. Claudius took a liking to this prisoner -- until Valentinus tried to convert the Emperor -- where upon this priest was condemned to death.
He was beaten with clubs and stoned; when that didn't finish him, he was beheaded outside the Flaminian Gate. Various dates are given for the martyrdom or martyrdoms: 269, 270, or 273.[8] The official Roman Martyrology for February 14 mentions only one Saint Valentine.

Laws of the Universe
47. The Law of Knowledge. This law concerns the fact that all knowledge concerns energy, its application, and its use or misuse. Much information is withheld from a person until s/he is a disciple, and still more until he is a pledged initiate. Information is not as necessary to the training of the disciple or initiate as is the proper use of thought energy. (i.e. Full Mindfulness) Knowledge is the right apprehension of the laws of energy, of the conservation of force, of the sources of energy, of its qualities, its types and its vibrations.
48. The Law of the Lotus. This refers to the egoist lotus or the 'Flowering of Self' and includes knowledge, love and sacrifice.
49. The Law of Love. One of the seven laws of our solar system, under the three major laws. This is the law of the astral plane. It aims at the transmutation of the desire nature (love in the personality), and links it up with the greater magentism of the love aspect on the buddhic plane (love in the Triad), and the Monads of Love. These three points mark periods of completion, and starting points for fresh endeavor in the life of the evolving Monad - from the personality to the Triad, from the Triad to the Monad, from the Monad back again to its Source. Love limits itself by desire.
50. The Law of the Lower Four. This law is also known as the law of etheric union, and its symbol is a male and female form, placed back to back. The male figure is holding above his head a shield or tray of silver, a great refeector, while the female form holds aloft an urn full of oil. Below this sign is another hieroglyphic which contains the seret of the astral plane, which has to be dominated by the menta. The ray energy is fiery energy of the 5th ray, the vitalizing factor.

If gazing into the sparkling purple depths of an Amethyst suffuses you with a sense of powerful well being, this is only to be expected. The ancient Greeks believed that this gemstone held many powers, among them protection against intoxication. In fact, the word Amethyst comes from the Greek word "amethystos," meaning sober. In ancient Greece, the gemstone was associated with the god of wine, and it was common practice to serve this beverage from Amethyst goblets in the belief that this would prevent overindulgence. Even today, Amethyst is considered a stabilizing force for those struggling to overcome addictive behaviors.
February's purple birthstone has been found among the possessions of royalty throughout the ages. The intense violet hue of Amethyst appealed to early monarchs, perhaps because they often wore this color. Purple dye was scarce and expensive at one time, and so it was reserved for the garments of kings and queens. Amethyst has been found in ruins dating as far back as the ninth century, adorning crowns, scepters, jewelry, and breastplates worn into battle. A large Amethyst is among the closely guarded gemstones in the British Crown Jewels. Amethyst is also symbolic of spirituality and piety. It has been used to ornament churches and crosses used in religious ceremony, and worn in rings and on rosaries by bishops and priests.
