Ghost Hunting

"Ghost", a word once thought to be frightening and often used around a fire to tell scary stories to those listening. The definitions of the word are as follows: 'Supposed spirit remaining after death believed to appear as a shadowy form or to cause sounds, the movement of objects, or a frightening atmosphere in a place. Some one's soul or spirit. A more modern scientific explanation of the term would be a faint duplicate image of something seen on a screen or photograph or through a telescope, and caused by the reception of a double signal or by a mechanical defect nonexistent person or thing: an entity that seems to exist but does not.

Meet HAR Mystic Aura - This Month's Interview

What is your psychic gift?
I'm Intuitive, Clairvoyant and a Seer, as well as being Empathic. I've recently started to receive Spirits, although it's too soon to call myself a Channeler. This "gift," I want to develop first, as I usually can't draw upon it at will ... the Spirits usually have to come to me. I also have the "gift" of Dreams and Precognitive Insight.

What is your favorite color?
Purple and Pink.

At what age did you realize you had this gift?
I remember things back to about the age of five, although I didn't really begin to understand them until I was closer to my teens. I've used my "gifts" to help and/or read for family and friends for many years, but it's only been since 2005 that I felt comfortable enough to open up to those that I didn't know. A "stage-fright" thing, I guess. I was afraid to say what I felt and be wrong, but have since learned that we're all human and make mistakes, and to always say what we feel because it may mean something later in someone's life.

What type of music do you like?
I like a variety of music, however my favorites are Classic and Soft Rock, Jazz and Classical.

How has your gift affected your life?
My "gifts" have affected my life in many different ways. In the beginning, once I realized not everyone was blessed, I was leery of saying anything about them or using them. But with the help of some very good friends, I was mentored into developing them and urged to start using them more with all, and not just family and friends.

When I was younger I would just say things as they came and that got a lot of reactions, but after awhile those that knew me learned to trust in the things I would say. It's helped those I love on many occasions.

A few years ago, a very good friend encouraged me to open up more and to start using my "gifts." She started working with me and introduced me to people that also helped me develop and grow. From there, I was urged to start using these "gifts" publicly. It gave me a wonderful feeling to know that I was helping others, even if it was just in just a small way ... to know that I was part of making a difference in someone's life.

A year and a half ago, with the encouragement of some very good friends, whom I call "Sisters," I was urged to create a group where people like myself, "psychics" if you will, could come together and do what they enjoyed most ... using their gifts and trying to make a difference in people's lives. Hence, on October 31st of 2006, I formally opened my group/company, Heaven's Angel's Spiritual Readings. To be able to touch so many peoples' lives form all places and all walks of life, and to get validation from those I've helped; that's a wonderful feeling and that's what it's all about.

Do you do anything to enhance your gift?
I try to meditate as often as possible, and I ask my Guides for help and guidance with the development of my "gifts." Although it may be hard at times, I try to freely accept anything that is given to me through Spirit. And now that I am more comfortable with using them openly to the public, I feel that helps in the developing or enhancing of them in itself.

Do you have any general life advise for our readers?
Basically, believe and trust in yourself. Open your heart, mind and soul to what is being offered you. So long as it's not harmful to yourself or others, take that chance and make a difference in your life and in the lives of others.

Oct 3 -- Last Quarter Moon (5:06 A.M. CST) - Mars glowing to the moon's right.

Oct 8 -- Venus, Saturn, and Regulus shine above the crescent Moon in the east at dawn.

Oct 11 -- New Moon (12:01 A.M. CST)

Oct 13 -- Last chance to see Jupiter until next year

Oct 15 -- Look low in the southwest in the fading glow of sunset for the waxing crescent Moon with Jupiter above it. Fainter orange Antares sparkles to the right of the Moon.

Oct 19 -- First Quarter Moon (3:33 A.M. CST)

Oct 20 -- The Orionid meteor shower is active this morning and for the next few mornings. The hour before dawn's first light is the best time to watch. You may see up to 20 faint, swift meteors per hour on average if you have a good, dark sky.

Oct 25 -- Full Moon (11:52 A.M. CST) - Hunter's Moon.

Oct 30 -- Mars glows to the upper right of the Moon late tonight. Castor and Pollux (Gemini) are to the left of the Moon.

Oct 31 -- Halloween Dark sky - perfect for star gazing

HALLOWEEN

The origins of Halloween: In 834 A.D., Gregory IV extended a feast for all the church and it became known as All Saint's Day, still remembering the dead. Samhain, a Druid god of the dead was honored at Halloween in Britain, France, Germany and the Celtic countries. The earliest Halloween celebrations were held by the Druids in honor of Samhain lord of the dead, whose festival fell on November 1. Samhain called together all wicked souls who died within the past year and that were destined to inhabit animals.

The American celebration rests upon Scottish and Irish folk customs which can be traced, in a direct line, from pre-Christian time. Although Halloween has become a night of celebration to many, its beginnings were otherwise.
