Hello, my name is Sylvia. I also go by HAR XianCan. I am empathic as well as clairvoyant, and clairaudient. I also read Tarot as well as teach the mystic arts, and I am a 3rd degree Reiki master.
I have been studying the occult and esoteric sciences as well as eastern thought and philosophy since the age of 10, when my own religious upbringing didn't answer the questions I had regarding existence and our place with God/Goddess or 'Spirit.' I am an initiated 2nd degree Wiccan and was an active member of the group at Sekhmet Temple in Indian Springs, NV when Patricia Pearlman lead it.
After a number of years of searching them out, I was finally directed to the Ordo Templi Orientis or O.T.O by an associate and was initiated and very active in my lodge. As part of the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica, I served as a deacon in the Gnostic Mass or Liber X.
My interest in Vodou began in my late teens when relatives brought me back various art and literature from one of their many visits to Haiti. After seeking out a Mambo or Houngan who could assist in my pursuit of knowledge and proper practice of the ancient religion, I was introduced to the Ile Houmfphor Ogu Sango, a house in Southern California that also worked with ceremonial magick. It was at the Houmphor where I studied and learned that the "spooky religion" is anything but that. In fact, the "danced religion" is a very beautiful and earth based path and I received initiations there in Vodou, ceremonial magick, and also studied some forms of Asian magick as well as Santeria. I have also studied Taoism, as well as Buddhism and am a Reiki master in the Usui system, receiving my final attunements from Master Vanessa Arlotta Calderon of NYC.
I consider Nevada my home “for now…” but bounce from there to LA and to the mid-western part of the USA. After spending time in China, I look at it as a place I would like to live in for awhile in future, I felt very much at home there.
I live with my teen-age daughter (who I describe as a musical and artistic talent in her own right and highly psychic), my best friend and business partner who I adore and our cat "Kiki" who is the laziest tom cat around.
I continue to write, study, run a music-zine called Vegas SoundZ, as well as a Vegas based entertainment company with my beloved best friend, my brilliant daughter and the most awesome office staff in the city. I also am active with Climax Entertainment, ( a division of Plan C Agency in LA), an Asian-American nightlife promotions company as the project manager for Las Vegas.
I attend a local Roman Catholic church, which I returned to after years of being away and feel it is my base as far as religion goes, tho I consider myself more spiritual than religious. I also follow Pastor Jaeson Ma, and enjoy the writings of Pastor Joel Osteen.
